The Ukrainian Institute of Arts and Science started working at the beginning of 1999 in the Bucha-town (Kiev region), according to the Decision of the General Meeting of Founders (Protocol No. 1 dated 03.12.1998), to the Desicion of the Executive Committee of the Irpin City Council No. 100-7-ХХІІІ dated February 25, 1999, “The registration of the company with limited responcibility “The Ukrainian Institute of Arts and Science” and the Desicion of the Kyiv Region State Administration “About the agreement of the organization of the Institute’s agency” No. 11-11-10419 dated 15.03.1999.
The main administrative, educational and common buildings and structures of the UIAS are situated in a country with a total area of more than 10 hectares. Until 1996, this territory belonged to the pioneer camp “Crystal”, which was successfully transferred to the Ukrainian Union Conference of the SDA Church in Ukraine under the contract of sale. Since 1999, the territory has been leased to the Ukrainian Institute of Arts and Science.
LLC “The Ukrainian Institute of Arts and Science” was reorganized in a private higher educational institution “Ukrainian Institute of Arts and Science” in May, 2005, based on the Decision of the General Meeting of Founders (Protocol No. 1 dated May 13, 2005).
The Ukrainian Institute of Arts and Science has been included in the Unified State Register of Enterprises and Organizations of Ukraine.
Since 1999, the Institute has received licenses for the education for such specialties: “Economics and Business (Finance)”, currently – “Finance and Credit” (since October 1999); “Management” (since October 1999); “Language and Literature (Eng.)” (Since October 1999); “Economics and Business (Marketing)” (since June 2000) – at present there is no this specialty; “Philosophy (Religious Studies)” (since September 2005).
On December 20, 2005 The Ukrainian Institute of Arts and Science was accredited to the status of a higher education institution of the third level by the decision of the State Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Protocol No. 58.
The license АВ № 395107 and the accreditation certificate of the series РІ-ІІІ № 102466 were received of the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated January 27, 2007, No. 58 “Processing into the list of courses for which specialists are trained at higher educational establishments for the Bachelor’s degree” the Bucha city settlement (Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine dated February 9, 2006 No. 3434-ІV “On the attribution of the urban-type settlement Bucha of the Irpin City Council to the category of cities of regional significance”) and renaming the street in Bucha ( Decision of Bucha settlement council on November 23, 2006 No. 411-11 “On Renaming the streets and lanes in the town of Bucha”).
In March 2012, the Ukrainian Institute of Arts and Science was given the opportunity to perform educational activities in the specialty 7.03060104 “Foreign Economic Activity Management” and the possibility to give education for foreign citizens in accredited specialties with a licensed volume of 40 persons (Protocol DAC No. 94 dated 23.03.2012)/
In June 2012, the Institute received a license to qualify specialists from 6.030301 “Journalism” direction (Protocol DAC No. 97 dated 06.07.2012)
2013 was marked for the Institute by opening two new directions: 6.010201 “Physical education” and 6.030502 “Economic Cybernetics” (Protocol DAC No. 105 dated June 27, 2013).
From 02.07.2013 there is a license of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine of the series AE No. 270781, issued by the decision of the State Tax Administration of 27.06.2013, Protocol No. 105 (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated July 1, 2013, No. 2494).
