Solar power plant installed in UIAS educational building
Thanks to the support of sponsors, including Southern University, the installation of a solar power plant in the administrative and educational building of the Ukrainian Institute of Arts and Sciences was completed on March 13, 2025. A 50 kW hybrid inverter and 40 kW high-voltage batteries allow the educational process to continue for several hours even during blackouts, and 88 solar panels with a total capacity of 37.4 kW installed on the roof allow it to last even longer.

The solar power plant promotes environmental friendliness and reduces carbon emissions, which is important both on a national scale and for individual cities. Half of the city’s flag is green, symbolizing the district where the institute is located, called Lisova Bucha, that is translated as Forest Bucha. The institute is located in this green area, so we are working to preserve a culture of environmental friendliness.
We sincerely thank our sponsors! In the long term, reducing consumption will help reduce the financial burden of utility costs and free up resources to support educators and students. Your contribution is an investment in the future of our country! And this contribution is long-term, as the solar panel manufacturer guarantees 87.4% efficiency even after 30 years.

The educational process takes place not only in the administrative and educational building, but also in the central and educational buildings, the multifunctional complex (MFC), the designer’s house, and the basement of the first dormitory. In most of these buildings, it is impossible or inefficient to install solar panels on the roof. undefinedheating equipment. Therefore, instead of decentralization and the installation of small solar power plants on each of the buildings, it makes sense to install a larger solar power plant on the roof of the multifunctional complex. This will allow both to support the educational process with electricity and to ensure the continuous operation of the heating equipment.
We invite you to support the project to install a solar power plant on the roof of the MFC. Invest in education. Even a small donation brings the implementation of the first stage of the project closer.
